Miao Hsieh

Miao Shan Hong Hsieh, a native of Taiwan, holds a bachelor's degree in music from Tung-Hai university in Taichung, Taiwan. She also completed studies at Musik Hochschule in Wien, Austria, and Manes School for Music in New York.
Miao Shan maintains a private piano studio in the Bay Area, where she gives piano as well as singing lessons. She has also been the conductor of the Christ Choir of the Chinese Church for many years. Prior to this, she had shown her talents by conducting the South Bay Chinese Orchestra for five years. Currently, Miao Shan is actively involved in the local musical community to promote general music awareness as well as education in children's choral music.
She served as Vice President of the CMTANC in 2001. During the course of her career, she has led Crystal Children's Choir, the group she has had for years, to win multiple prizes. In 2005, the Choir received the highest honor awarded at the San Diego Heritage Music Festival.
